Born in 1974, Nick Tolentino aka Plusgroove has journeyed into the music scene. Around the age of 12, he began collecting hip hop from Public Enemy and De La Soul to house artists such as DMob, Fast Eddie, Lil Louis and Masters at Work. In 1996, he started to promote and dj his own parties in different venues in Toronto most notably Runyx.In 1997, he graduated from York University earning a degree in graphic design. After 4 years of working in the design industry, he was introduced to producing songs by long time friend Chris Hercules. In the spring of 2002, Plusgroove began focusing on producing house tracks and started his vinyl collection again. "Creating songs is a whole new element to my creative side. It challenges you mentally and physically putting in long hours in the studio. It's fun yet rewarding knowing that the song you have visioned turns out the way you want it. I love writing songs about love and relationships because everyone has been in and out of love to some degree and hopefully people can relate to the aspects I present in my tracks. I want people to feel the lyrics as well as the music. It always great to see people dancing to it."
